SHE IS HERE!!!!

This afternoon at 5:48 P.M. we were blessed to receive Isabelle Grace into our family. She weighed in at 7 pounds and 1 ounce and measured 17 inches long. As you can see from the pictures she is beautiful and perfect.

After Dr. Basham came in for the second time and checked she had not progressed any towards delivery. With her labor pains increasing by the minute and with no real progress being made, Dr. Basham ask Jodie if she wanted to continue or start the C-section. After a quick yes to start we were whisked away to prep for surgery and soon I joined Jodie after she was prepared for surgery. Within just a few minutes of my arrival at 5:48 P.M. we heard the first small cry of Izzy as she entered the world for the very first time.

She was feisty for the entire time of the pregnancy and even now she is a little firecracker. Now we are in our room and have just received our bundle and soon Jodie will try to nurse her for the first time.

We will have more tomorrow for everyone to see but enjoy the pictures we have now.

She is BEAUTIFUL! I am sure you can say she was worth the wait! C sections are great! All 3 of mine were and you don't have to endure as much pain. Scott was lucky. Dr. Basham wouldn't let Rick in OR. Read to her everday and watch her grow because she won't stay small long. Enjoy her and do fun things with her!

To my son and wonderful daughter-in-law congratulations on the birth of your first child, Isabelle Grace.
A special "Thank You" to my wonderful daughter-in-law for always including me in everything. Being in the labor and delivery meant so much to me. I am the luckiest Mother-in-Law in the world. I thank God every day for you.

Love you both so much,

Mom
