Izzie's First Turkey Day & First Veggie

Isabelle had a great first turkey day! She was surrounded by a lot of family some had just held her and met her for the very first time! Our plans changed drastically at the last minute. We were staying home for Thanksgiving and everyone was making their way to Louisville until my Mamaw & Papaw got sick. Papaw fell a few weeks ago well passed out and spent several days in the hospital and is in the rehab unit now trying to get stronger. For those who do not know he has Dementia which has progressed and in the late stages now. We saw him and he has trouble remembering people or where he is. He is scared and so confused. He did remember me after I started talking to him but he did not really remember Izzie he saw her when she was 4 or 5 weeks old. Yesterday when he talked to her he seemed to think it was me when I was a baby. This is an awful disease and it is a disease that he will never recover from. On to Mamaw she fell while Papaw was in the hospital and hurt her foot. She also is having some heart trouble. She is now home and home health is coming to help her get stronger. She made a very hard decision to put Papaw in a nursing home, he will transition over either Monday or Tuesday. I write all this to ask those of you who so graciously prayed while I was pregnant to pray for them now as they are not doing well and as this is a hard time for them both as well as my family. I will include pics and video from this weekend below so that one day I can show Isabelle her wonderful Great grandparents who love her so much.

On a lighter note we did have a great thanksgiving and YES WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR! Yes times are hard right now for Scott & I he still has not found a steady job but in spite of it all we are tremendously blessed we have the best thing ever. The one thing we dreamed and prayed about for many years...Isabelle Grace Collins. The precious little girl had her first taste of veggies on turkey day. She had carrots for the first time so enjoy the many pics and the video she seems to like them. Tomorrow we get to move to a new veggie so far no problems with carrots!
